Chainlink experienced a significant surge in developer engagement during the month of June, propelling the decentralized oracle network to the second position, just behind Hedera, as reported by Santiment, a market intelligence platform. Although Hedera maintained its lead in terms of GitHub activity within the crypto space, Chainlink witnessed a notable increase in developer activities on its GitHub repository over the past 30 days, leading to its rise to the second spot.
In a recent post on X on July 1, Santiment unveiled the top 10 projects based on the number of GitHub events in June. The ranking was determined by calculating development activity, excluding any redundant actions, and averaging the data over a 30-day period. Despite Hedera’s dominance with 759 GitHub events, Chainlink, operating on the Ethereum network, secured the second position with 526 events. Optimism (OP) followed in third place with 481 events, while Internet Computer (ICP) claimed the fourth spot with 434 events. Rounding up the top 10 were Cardano (ADA), Status (SNT), Cosmos (ATOM), ZKsync (ZK), Starknet (STRK), and Aptos (APT).
Although these coins showcased varying performances in the market over the past month, the consistent high level of developer activity indicates ongoing network development for these projects. This activity hints at the potential for product expansion and increased user adoption, according to Santiment.
For example, the Chainlink team recently issued an update on adoption activities from the previous week. The update highlighted 12 integrations of six Chainlink services across eight blockchain networks, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Polygon. Notably, one of these integrations involved the launch of Chainlink Data Streams on Avalanche.
