Upland, a virtual reality app, has announced a partnership with FIFA to bring fans an exciting experience of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023, according to reports on July 21.
Upland is set to launch the FIFA Women’s World Cup in the metaverse, aiming to connect and engage the fan community of the tournament. Fans will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the event through the specially designed metaverse platform.
The platform will feature FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023-themed Cafes where fans can gather, socialize, and show their support for their favorite teams, celebrating women’s football.
Furthermore, the platform will offer a collection of digital assets and highlight videos related to FIFA tournaments in a gamified format. This enables fans to collect, trade, and complete various digital asset collections, showcasing their team allegiance.
In the Upland Metaverse, these digital collectibles serve as rewards for fans to showcase their team pride, with different levels of rarity representing the thirty-two countries participating in the tournament. Additionally, the Upland platform allows users to create personalized games and experiences using their ownership of the FIFA tournament digital collectibles.
By participating in community events on the platform, fans can increase their fan score, with high Fan Scores earning the opportunity to compete in exclusive cross-tournament collections and bundles. These bundles may include Passes that fans can trade for highlight videos showcasing their favorite moments and players from the tournament. The platform aims to provide fans with an interactive and engaging experience throughout the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
