Milady, an NFT project, saw great success during its presale of a new meme coin, attracting 88,888 SOL in funding. The meme coin, named Milady with Hat on the Solana network, pays homage to the popular Solana Dogwifhat (WIF) coin and raised a significant $18 million at the current Solana price.
The presale round came to a close just hours after it began. The initial plan was for the presale to last 24 hours, with a minimum investment of 1 SOL and a full unlock of 100% on the token generation event (TGE), representing 25% of the token supply.
Charlotte Fang, the founder of NFT projects Milady and Remilia, disclosed a security breach in the treasury addresses on March 16. This breach resulted in millions of dollars in damage, impacting all connected wallets. Fang attributed the hack to unknown malware that had compromised her password manager.
Experts from Dumpster DAO were the first to report the incident, with PeckShield specialists noting suspicious transactions preceding the transfer of the treasury ownership to the hacker.
This wasn’t the first security incident for Fang, as back in September 2023, she reported a theft of approximately $1 million by developers within the Milady NFT ecosystem. Additionally, the project’s social media accounts were hacked, compromising the accounts of Milady, Remilia, and Remilio Baby along the way.
In related news, a tweet from Elon Musk caused the price of the Milady coin to skyrocket by over 3000%. For more updates, follow us on Google News.
