Circle, a stablecoin issuer, has joined forces with Overdare, a metaverse project backed by Krafton, to enhance the functionality of programmable USDC wallets.
In a recent blog post on February 26th, Circle announced a strategic partnership with Overdare, a metaverse initiative established by game publisher Krafton and Naver Z, with a focus on expanding mobile user-generated content.
As part of the collaboration, Circle will integrate its programmable wallets, a wallet-as-a-service solution, into the Overdare platform. This integration will enable game content creators to receive USDC payouts directly through the platform.
The partnership aims to promote transparent revenue distribution across different platforms using Circle’s programmable wallets. Overdare intends to utilize this technology for IP trading and USDC revenue payouts, streamlining asset management for creators transitioning to web3 platforms. While specific launch dates are not yet disclosed, the global debut of the Overdare platform is planned for the latter half of 2024.
Overdare, introduced in September 2023, is an NFT mobile game that allows for user-generated content similar to Roblox. The game, powered by Unreal Engine 5, features AI tools for content creation, although further details have yet to be revealed.
