Circle, a stablecoin issuer, has joined forces with Overdare, a metaverse project backed by Krafton, to enhance the functionality of programmable USDC wallets.
In an official blog post on February 26th, Circle announced a strategic partnership with Overdare, a venture created by game publisher Krafton and Naver Z, to focus on expanding mobile user-generated content.
As part of the collaboration, Circle will integrate its programmable wallets, a wallet-as-a-service solution, into Overdare. This integration will enable game content creators to receive USDC payouts directly through the platform.
The partnership aims to ensure transparent revenue distribution across different platforms using Circle’s programmable wallets. Overdare plans to utilize this technology for IP trading and USDC revenue payouts, simplifying asset management for creators as they transition to web3 platforms. While specific dates have not been disclosed, the global launch of the Overdare platform is scheduled for the latter half of 2024.
Overdare, introduced in September 2023, is a mobile game based on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that allows users to create content similar to Roblox. The game, powered by Unreal Engine 5, features artificial intelligence (AI) tools for content creation, with further details yet to be revealed.
