Chromia, a blockchain platform, has formed a technical partnership with Chasm Network to improve the transparency and accountability of artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Through this collaboration, Chromia will act as a decentralized database layer to store AI inference data, utilizing an existing decentralized application on its mainnet. Chasm Network will be launching its native token, Chasm AI, although its specific role in the partnership is unclear. Yeou Jie, Chromia’s head of business development, stated that the collaboration will enhance secure and efficient data management for complex use cases, including decentralized AI.
In another development, Samsung has recently revealed plans to expand its use of blockchain to enhance security in its AI-powered home appliances. The company will extend its existing Knox Matrix framework, which uses a private blockchain, to a wider range of home appliances. This framework, known as the “Trust Chain,” allows interconnected devices to monitor each other for security threats and alert users when issues arise. As the intersection of AI and blockchain technology continues to evolve, tech giants are increasingly showing their interest in this space.
