Nubit, a modular blockchain platform backed by Polychain, has teamed up with Web3 company Succinct to unveil Nuport, a cutting-edge interface that utilizes Nubit’s data availability layer to connect different blockchains.
Announced on August 6th, Nuport is set to serve as a bridge between Nubit and major blockchains such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and others. This will be made possible through Succinct SP1, a zero-knowledge powered virtual machine that empowers developers to create real-world applications with zero knowledge proofs.
By leveraging Rust for SP1 integration, developers can now access ZKPs using popular programming languages. With the Nubit DA, any blockchain ecosystem can leverage Succinct SP1 to enable high-throughput applications. Nuport will enable these projects to leverage Bitcoin-secured data availability.
“By validating Nubit block headers with ZK proofs, Nuport inherits Nubit’s security guarantees, providing Bitcoin-secured data availability across any blockchain,” noted the Nubit team.
The collaboration between Nubit and Succinct signifies a significant milestone in the blockchain space, offering security, scalability, and efficiency for decentralized application developers. Succinct SP1 also allows Nubit to adapt to the ever-evolving requirements of the blockchain ecosystem.
Notable zero-knowledge L2 projects include Zcash, Starknet, Immutable X, Polygon zkEVM, and ZKsync. SP1 currently provides teams from various sectors access to production ZK, including projects on Polygon, Celestia, Gnosis, and Taiko. Use cases range from cross-chain interoperability, bridging, coprocessors, oracles, and Bitcoin layer-2 solutions.
Moreover, Nubit’s blockchain technology supports a wide range of applications, including artificial intelligence, SocialFi, and GameFi. This groundbreaking partnership between Nubit and Succinct is set to revolutionize the blockchain landscape and drive innovation in zero-knowledge proofs.
