FSL, a prominent player in the gaming industry, has unveiled the launch of STEPN GO, an application that transforms daily activities such as walking, jogging, and running into gratifying experiences.
STEPN GO motivates users to maintain an active lifestyle by rewarding them with a virtual currency known as the Go Game Token (GGT) for their physical endeavors. Furthermore, the app introduces a feature where users can earn another currency, the GMT, by participating in player versus player (PvP) challenges.
Following the success of its predecessor, the STEP app, released in 2021, which quickly gained popularity in the emerging sector of ‘Move and Earn’ fitness apps in the web3 space, STEPN GO aims to elevate this concept to new heights. The initial app has amassed a user base of over 5.6 million and more than 1 million Sneaker NFTs.
In response to user suggestions, STEPN GO incorporates various community-driven enhancements. These improvements include the “Haus System,” enabling users to lend their Sneaker NFTs to friends and family for mutual benefits. Another notable addition is the ‘Interactive Map,’ which fosters user engagement by facilitating connections between players for adding friends and exchanging messages during app activities.
The Alpha Version of STEPN GO is set to debut in the third quarter of 2024. During the launch period, there will be a Sneaker NFT Alpha Prize Draw where 3,000 digital sneakers will be awarded to individuals who pledge their GMT tokens. Only FSL ID holders are eligible to participate in this event.
Jerry Huang, a Co-Founder of FSL, highlighted, “Introducing STEPN GO means making the web3 space accessible to beginners without the complexities of wallet setups or initial NFT purchases, thereby making the fitness journey both enjoyable and rewarding.”
